Dr. Madeline Anderson
Dr. Madeline Anderson attended Kansas State University for both her undergraduate studies and veterinary school. She was admitted to the Early Admission Program for Pre-Veterinary Scholar right out of high school. This allowed her to get her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and go to veterinary school after only three years of undergraduate studies. In 2017 she graduated with her doctorate in veterinary medicine.
Since graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Anderson has worked at two general practices in the Kansas City area providing care for dogs, cats, and exotic animals. Her professional interests include exotic animal medicine, dermatology, and surgery. Dr. Anderson is especially passionate about reptiles and amphibians, and enjoys educating pet owners on how to optimally take care of their unique pets.
In her free time, Dr. Anderson likes to play board games, do puzzles, and try new restaurants with friends and family. At home, Dr. Anderson has a ball python named Hobart (Hobo for short), a crested gecko named Starbuck, a cat named Fajita, and a three-legged dog named Finn. Hobo was the first pet she got on her own and is still going strong 15 years later. Dr. Anderson credits him with sparking her love for reptiles and exotic animal medicine.
